In today's post, we have yet another new outfit known as Dayglow. This outfit was made available during NA server's launching of Warden's Fury. It is obtained by upgrading an event chest, called the Juggernaut's Jackpot to stage 10. The chest can only be purchased once per account from the online store, so you will have to pray that NCSoft put it back on the Hongmoon store if you want the outfit for all your characters. ๐ง
For eagle-eyed players, you may know that this outfit is a remodel of another outfit known as Ascension. Although the texture files of the two outfits sit in the same package, they actually use two different models. If we are to compare both outfits, it is clear that Ascension has a more classy look and Dayglow being the less complex one.
Take a look at the image below to compare the two sister outfits. Since the outfits look exactly same for all three races, I will only show the Yun's version here.
Dayglow Ascension |
In comparison to its more classy sister, Dayglow looks more like an outfit worn by presenters or promoters at game events, with a futuristic design decorated with neon stripes and lines. ๐
Well, see for yourself below.
Well, see for yourself below.
Front View - Original Outfit |
The outfit consists of mainly black color with pink colored stripes and lines.
The base design looks like sort of an apron worn over a bikini top and bottom, coupled with an arm band on the left upper arm and a pair of matching leg guards.

It has an unique netting layer on the torso portion of the 'apron' that reveals a little of the skin layer below.
Rear View - Original Outfit |
The 'apron' extends into a simple tail cloth at the back.

We can see the straps of the unique bikini bottom, which is interconnected by a ring, on the sides.

The outfit in itself is already beautiful and kind of sexy so what can be done for the mod?
Well, the first modification I did was to remove the netting layer on the torso to reveal the skin layer below. This is followed by removing the leg guards.
Next, I trimmed the front and rear tail cloth, and the area where the collar connects to the bra.
The end result looks like some lingerie similar to the Yun Wonderland mod that I have done before. ๐
Front View - Modified Outfit |
The leg guards are now gone, revealing those leggy legs. ๐
Front Close-up View - Modified Outfit |
With the netting layer and connection to the collar removed, the bra now links only to the lower part of the 'apron' via a strap.
The front cloth has also been trimmed into a heart shape.

I have also added netting layers on part of the front and tail cloth, so we can actually partially see the bikini bottom through the layer when the camera is close enough. It is not very clear in the images but this can be verified in the close-up shots in the video. ๐
That's all for this post. Stay tune for a Gon mod next.

Looks good, does this affect Ascension as well? I had an Ascension mod which broke dayglow so i didn't use it. Also the label you've added is Jin, whereas the outfit is Yun :)
ReplyDeleteThanks for letting me know about that error. ๐ How did it break Dayglow? It became black/white or the body just become invisible? If you get the Ascension mod long ago, then the UPK may not have the texture for Dayglow in it. In my mod Ascension works fine though I have to adjust the alpha in its S and M texture because of an UPKManager issue.
ReplyDeleteOoooohhh, i see! That makes sense. My old Ascension mod was pre-dayglow and it breaks it. Your mod works fine for just dayglow :D
DeleteExcellent work! Looking forward to other races too, especially Gon's. Thank you so much for this!
ReplyDeleteThank you! I have tried on Jin and it has a tendency to crash the game. Hope the Gon one will be ok. ๐
DeleteDo others see this outfit if I'm wearing the mod? Or is it just me who sees the outfit?
ReplyDeleteSorry for the late reply. Since I have not check back here for a long time now after moving to Patreon.
DeleteWhen you use this mod and wear the outfit, only you will see the mod outfit. Others will see your character in the original outfit (if they are not using the mod). Vice versa if others use this mod, then they will see your character in the mod version instead of original version even if you do not use the mod.
As you can see, the file is local on your PC not in the server.
One thing to note though. If you take a F2 portrait shot and load it into your profile, others can see the F2 image since you load it into server when you register the picture as your profile picture. Hope this help.
