Blade & Soul - Wolfskin (Jin Outfit) mod

Looking back at a video that I had posted way back in June, which shows five of the skin mods that I have done for Jin race, and realised that there are still three outfit mods that I have not shown in greater details. So far, I have shown Enchanting Seductress and Blackram Officer but still missing on Wolfskin, Dazzle and Profane Shroud. Since, I did say that I will show them in greater details, I figure that I should keep to my words and so, this week's post will be Wolfskin for the Jin race.

If you have been following all my posts, you will probably know that I had also mod the Wolfskin outfit for Yun race. Although the outfit for both Jin and Yun looks very similar, there is still inherent differences in the mesh, like I had said before in previous posts. And in this mod, you can probably get a better idea of what it means by difference in mesh.

If we take a look at the two outfits above, we can notice the difference, mainly in color and the additional covers on the Yun's arm and chest. But as you will see later, the mesh for the Jin race also allows more freedom for mod. But first, let's check out the Jin original outfit.

I can't think of a reason why the Jin's chest area is exposed but the Yun's one is covered. Hmmm... Likely by design... Or maybe the designer is not satisfied with how the chest looks?  😕

The Wolfskin outfit comes with a bloom or gloom with bulky skirts for both races.  😑

For the mod, I mainly trimmed the skirt and in this comparison image below, you will notice that the skirt portion for the Jin can be totally removed. The mesh at the waist area exists for Jin, while missing from the Yun's and that is why I cannot totally remove the skirt for the Yun race. Another noticeable difference is the side of the breasts. What I did for the Jin's bra area cannot be done for Yun because what lies underneath is a hole. Forcibly painting the bra to skin will create a 'floating' skin layer.  😧

Now, let us look more closely at the Jin modified outfit below.

Hmmm... Not sure how that bra can work in real life... But this is a game and it sticks like super glue.  😛

Rear View - Modified Outfit
Does anyone else feels that the rear view looks like some kind of lingerie?

Well... The bottom looks a little too skimpy but I really dislike that bulky skirt so I removed it anyway...   😰

That'll wrap up this post and if you want to catch the outfit in the above mentioned video, it is at around 00:50:38 point.

You can also catch this outfit in my new video below.

Blade & Soul - Wolfskin (Yun Outfit) Mod

Before I head back to Jin outfit for the next post, let's have a look at the Yun Wolfskin outfit. With a name like that, you can probably guess where this outfit came from. Well, you are half right. The outfit has an origin linking to a wolf-like Sacred Beast but the outfit is not skinned off the creature as you might think. 😮  In fact, the Wolfskin is acquired by, yet, spinning another Wheel of Fate.  😆

Yup, you guessed correctly. The token, Lycan's Essence, needed to spin the wheel is obtained from the Sacred Beast.

Just in case you are a bit curious about the Sacred Beasts, here's a little information. They are mighty sentient creatures that fought against the Dark Lord's invasion, alongside the Four Guardians. Lycan the Mighty is one of the Sacred Beasts which was heavily tainted by Dark Chi during these battles and went into hibernation in hope of cleansing herself.

Lycan's bravery and ferocity in battle earn her the respect of the Lycandi tribe, which worships her as a God-like figure. Lycan made the tribe took a vow to put her back to sleep, in case she awakens before the cleansing is complete. During her hibernation, Lycan stood, in the form of a stone statue, atop a hill which overlooks the Lycandi tribe.

Unfortunately, Jinsoyun's meddling with the balance of nature caused huge amount of Dark Chi to leak into the land and the Dark Chi in Lycan erupted as a result. Awakened in her tainted state, Lycan is on the verge of being turned into a powerful demon. It was through the effort of the Lycandi tribe and the Last Hongmoon (the player) that Lycan is able to return to her hibernation once more. As a reward, Lycan granted her life essence to the Last Hongmoon to help suppress the Mark of the Black Rose - a wound inflicted on the Last Hongmoon when Jinsoyun massacred the clan.

The video below shows the scene of the tainted Lycan awakening and promptly put back into hibernation by the Lycandi tribe, with the help of the Last Hongmoon.

Well, I guess that's about all for the story. The Wolfskin outfit shares a good resemblance to the Sacred Beast herself, with blue, white and black colors (Note: Lycan in the video is mainly black and white due to the Dark Chi's corruption). The torso part is a furry, dove-neck dress with bare-back design. It also sports a pair of furry stockings and glossy arm guards. The outfit comes with two adornments, the Lycan's Sorrow Mask and Lycan's Tail Feather.

Let's look at the original outfit with the tail adornment below.

The white regions have a furry texture with black stripes.

The tail adornment comes as a pair of 2 feather-like tails.  😍

The only thing that I dislike about this outfit is that really bulky looking skirt which make the hip region looks tenfold thicker.  😦  Well... that's not counting the weird-looking high heel shoes.

So for the mod, I tried to remove that bulky chunk of fur surrounding the waist area. Sadly, I found a huge disconnection between the waist and thigh when I did that, and so, I can only perform a trim instead of a total removal.

I have also removed the white layer over the cleavage because I am envious of the Jin's and Gon's open style design (i.e. cleavage in the open).    😝

Check out the mod outfit below.

Notice more distinction between the thighs and the furry skirt?

Front Close-up View - Modified Outfit
Yup! Cleavage spotted!  😍  No more being envious of Jin or Gon!

With the trimming of the skirt at the sides and back, we can now steal a peek in between.  😅

After trimming, there is now more clearance between the skirt and the thighs and thus, the hip area doesn't feel as bulky or huge as before. For the Jin version, the skirt can be totally removed to give it a lingerie feel.

Finally, don't miss out on the video below.
