Blade & Soul - Nirvana (Jin Outfit) Mod

Finally, we have come to the end of the Nirvana series, which is, of course, for the Jin race. Most of the information about this outfit and how its name came to be, can be found in the Yun Nirvana post.

Although the outfit looks exactly the same as that of the Gon's and Yun's, the Jin's version has an entirely different mesh structure. While the Yun's and Gon's texture is a rectangle of 1024x512 pixels, the Jin's texture file come in a square format of 1024x1024 pixels. This, of course, means that simply copying and pasting, from the Gon or Yun texture to the Jin texture, will not work. 😰

On top of that, I also found that the upper back of the body has discontinuity with a hole on each side. 😧 Because of this, the bikini top mod on the Gon and Yun cannot be duplicated onto the Jin's version directly.

As such, even though it is still consider a simple mod, it still has to be done from scratch. And so, we will only have one outfit in this week's post and video.

But before we dive into the mod, let's take a look at the original outfit below.

In the front close-up view, you may have noticed that the underboobs are actually flat below. This is due to the thick layer of cloth that is wrapped around the abdomen, pushing up from below.

The flat underboobs can be better seen from the side. 😦

Other than the flat underboobs, most of the outfit look very similar to the Gon's and Yun's.

As mentioned earlier, there are two issues to overcome in the Jin's version. Firstly, the holes at the back and secondly the flat underboobs.

The holes affect what I can do for the top garment since I cannot make it into the bikini top like in the case of Gon and Yun.

The flat underboobs, on the other hand, prevents me from trimming the thick cloth layer in order to reveal the upper abdomen. That is because, the flatness would look unnatural if nothing is supporting it from below. However, this issue can be easily overcome by... well, doing nothing. 😛

So that leaves the top garment issue. Let's look at the mod below and see what I did instead.

Front View - Modified Outfit
The very long front cloth has been removed as seen above.

It may not be obvious from a distance, but I have modified the top garment into a netting layer. But of course, I still hide the important area. 😅

See below to get a better view of the modified top garment.

See the netting yet? No? Check the even closer view below. 😅

I have added some an uneven round surface, on the center portion, because it was too plain.

But the thick cloth layer was not trimmed due to the flat underboobs.

Rear View - Modified Outfit
The long layered tail cloth has been removed as seen in the image above.

Rear Close-up View 1 - Modified Outfit
Since the top garment has been modified into a netting, including the back, the two holes mentioned earlier in the post can be seen through the semi-transparent cloth.

As such, I have to add two logo at the back to hide the two holes. The image below provides a better view of the logo.

If you still can't see the semi-transparent top garment clearly, maybe this image on top gives a better alternative view? 😆

With this, I can finally wrap up the Nirvana series.
