Soon after I made and posted the Jin Courtesan mod, a patron asked if there is one for Gon. Since, it is time for a Gon mod this week, I guess we can proceed with it. As mentioned in the Jin Courtesan post, this outfit is first made for NPC Namsoyoo and she is of the Jin race. From the fact that the Gon UPK files are located far from the Jin one, I can guess that NCSoft had not initially want to make it available for players but eventually decided to do so. After all, beautiful and sexy outfit is a big hit with players and I personally know of some who will try to get hold of almost every outfits. 😅
Maybe that is why we can see NCSoft has started releasing some of those outfits, worn by NPC, which players like me can only drool at before their release. Some of these outfits are Loose Cannon worn by Soha, True Shot worn by her brother - Leerok (almost mistyped as Leeroy over there 😆 ), Inn Keeper worn by Yehara, Withering Flower and Dark Emissary worn by Jinsoyun, and much more. I wonder if Yura's snake skin outfit will ever be released too. 😍

Anyway, the information regarding the Courtesan outfit has already been discussed in the Jin post, so let us go straight to look at the original Gon Courtesan below. Since it is an NPC outfit, it is expected to look exactly the same for all races. Of course, male character will not have this outfit available to them. After all, the Heart Surgeon and Angel crossdressing series for male character is already 😱 enough so let's hope it will not continue to these other outfits. 😩😖

As we can verify above, the outfit is exactly the same with similar stocking, laced shoulder-arm, metallic frame, right up to the red rose hanging by the right side of the waist.

The unique half dress can also be seen in the Gon version.

The dress at the hip seems to have a hump due to the intrinsic shape of Gon's body.

Although the Jin's and Gon's outfits look the same, there is significant difference in the mesh. For example, while the mesh of the butt and underboob are missing for the Jin's model, the Gon's model has them intact. As such, it allows for more freedom in the mod.
The complete inclusion of the butt (in the Gon's model) allows me to drop the top part of the chain stocking, which I had initially retained to compliment the horizontal protrusion of the panties for the Jin mod. With the mesh intact, I can now safely trim down the horizontal protrusion of the Gon's panties to make it less obvious and thus, I don't need to retain the stocking.

On the other hand, I did not make more use of the bra area although the underboob's mesh is intact. The reason being that the mesh for a point, on the breast, is missing. I think you can guess which point is that. Sometimes, this was done to prevent the mesh of the tips of the skin layer from protruding out and showing above the outfit, especially for those body hugging outfits such as swim wears.
This is because in a game, the designer has to minimize the mechanism call 'collision detection' which prevents character from running through walls, for example. If the game tries to do that for all outfits on every characters, it will probably crash or become really sluggish due to enormous amount of detections required.
So this is one of the reason why some of the body parts that are hidden below outfits are removed; the other being to reduce game's file size in order to save disk space.

Looks like I have gone off topic again, so let's focus back on the mod. Check it out below.

The stockings and laced layer on the shoulder has been removed as seen in the image above.
The half dress has also been trimmed, like in the Jin's mod.

The retained laced layer for the collar and black frame added at the corners of the modified dress is the same as that of the Jin's mod.

As we can see in the image above and below, no part of the stockings was retained, unlike the Jin's mod.

Unfortunately, the translucent cloth obscure the left side of the panties so we cannot see the protrusion that I have mentioned earlier. Luckily you may be able to verify that in the video below.
Sadly, I do not have this outfit on my Gon so I can only show the mod using the in-game Tailor Shop. 😥

I appreciate you doing this. I made a donation for your time. Thanks again. I don't see a download link though.

DeleteThose weapon effect always make me jealous, just like wings. I never seem to have luck with those. 😆
I would love to use your outfits but these outfits are basically remodeled versions right? So in order to use them I would need to get it first right?
ReplyDeleteYes, you need to have the outfit to see the mod on your character but you can still see the mod if other players are wearing the outfit.
DeleteJust fyi, there are videos on YouTube that teaches others to swap outfit models. But I am not sure about those swap so I do not use them.
Lol yeah I seen them but it looks a little bit too complicated to do so I guess ill just have to get them
