As a closing for the Frigida Armor set, we'll be looking at the Chain chest, a.k.a. Hauberk, this week. Readers are also in for a treat to a rare snow view during the winter season in AION. I have captured some screen shots and video with the weather effect maximized so viewers can see not only glittering white scenes but also falling snow. :D
Back to the armor, if we compare the hauberk to its cloth, leather and plate version, there is a stark difference. There is actually no spiky prong rising over the shoulder! O.O
Well... technically speaking, the same design (spiky prong) can still be found on the hauberk, but it is located at the left waist in a horizontal orientation, instead of protruding over the shoulder in a vertical orientation.
In terms of design, the hauberk also kind of reminds me of the "Sauro Commander Hauberk", especially when it is dyed in black color. Maybe because of the "scaly" surface and the similar slanted cut at the bottom of the dress. >.<"
One interesting logic-defying design would be the 'floating bra' which is basically not attached to any other part of the armor. The bra is only made up of 2 bra cups and a few dangling chains, which is why I call it 'floating bra' or maybe 'stick-on' bra? XD

Can you see the spiky prong between the left waist and thigh? That piece of armor was seen rising over the shoulder for the cloth, leather and plate version. Its base color is white-blue but because I dyed the armor black, it kind of turned grey. ~.~

In the image above, you can clearly see why I call the bra 'floating' or 'stick-on'. Especially, if you look closely at the left bra, you will notice that there's only one chain connecting the bra to the neck armor. >.<

From the front and rear zoom out images, we can see that the right arm and leg are cover in a dark translucent layer, like some kind of stockings.

And the view on the left side is eye popping! It is basically ALL CLEAR except for an armor piece painted on the waist! O.O
If you still have your suspicion about that 'floating' bra, well.... now you can fully convince yourself of the non-attachment claim. XD

From the two images above, you will notice that the dark translucent layers on the right arm and leg have been removed. In addition, the cloth at the right thigh has also been trimmed to show a super high cut.

Well... since the bra is already defying logic, might as well make full use of it. XD And so, I trimmed the lower part of the bra to show a little under-boobs. >.<"

The rear views show the trimmed cloth on the butt. I was actually trying to trimmed it to nicely cover up the panties but.... well... stripped too much as usual.... @.@

Wow! I think I took the naked side to the next level by taking away that armor piece on the waist! The armor at the side is now basically held together by just a dangling chain at the waist. O.O
Since I had modified the color of the right leg, I also need to modify the shoe so that the color of the lower leg match.

Welcome back to the blog. Next in line, we have the "Frigida Tunic". Similar to its plate and leather version, which we had seen in prior posts, the tunic also has a base color of white-blue tone. The signature bluish spikes or prongs design, with hard scaly armor can also be seen on the torso portion. And of course not forgetting the shared sexiness. :p

One special design for the tunic, which is not seen in the plate or leather version is the translucent sleeves. Unfortunately after the mod, these nice sleeves had to be removed. D:

In the close-ups, we can see the hard armor pieces with draconic essence and the bluish prong sticking up over her right shoulder.

The bottom of the armor is a skirt made up of 2 separate parts: The left half looks like the same material that made up the hard armor pieces, but is soft like cloth; while the right side is made up of multiple layers of plain cloth. The skirt is of uneven length giving the impression of a torn wing or such.

The sexiest part of this tunic is probably the right torso which puts the side of the right breast on display. XD
In the mod, some parts of the hard armor pieces on her torso were removed together with the sleeves. Pieces of cloth on the skirt are also removed for better view.

From the two images above, the cloth portion at the front of the skirt can be seen missing. Also, the hard armor piece immediately below the right breast has been trimmed slightly to show off more skin.

Because of the trimming of the hard armor pieces on the left and right side of torso, the translucent sleeves had to be removed too. Else the sleeves will have discontinuity issue with the armor, looking weird all by themselves.

In the left close-up view, we can see that the bra is no longer connected to the shoulder and the left-back because that hard armor piece has been removed. This is why the sleeves had to be removed too because it has nothing to attached to. >.<"

The sexy right side has been retained with a little more skin revealed. :p
Next in the Frigida armor mod series is the plate version, a.k.a. Frigida Breastplate. When I first saw this plate armor, the impression is that the most heavily armored areas are basically the hands and lower legs. The torso area is mainly 'unprotected' except for a shoulder-draped armor, which has two prongs extending downward, covering the breasts and a piece of armor protecting the side-waist area. In contrast to the relatively 'unprotected' torso, the arms sport a full length sleeve right up to the hands. The leg armor takes on a panties style with an armor piece covering the outer left of the left leg.
The most fortified parts of this armor set are actually the gloves and the boots which effectively cover every parts that they are supposed to cover. As such, I find that the armor set gives an 'imbalance' impression as a whole. But I warmly welcome that hot-ness though. XD
As I have stated in my previous post, this armor series is the sexiest, that I have seen to date. And when you look the images of the original armor below, you will understand why I said that.

Over here, we see the two prongs extending downwards from the armor on her shoulder. Although the two prongs are just overlaying the breasts, I can assure you that the designer had made sure we don't see anything that we are not supposed to see. >.<
Although the design used really little material to cover up, it doesn't feel crude like "My Bathrobe" because the design actually looks pretty fearsome.

Wow! We got a really nice view from the side! Except that armor piece though...
Since the armor has such little material, I can't really remove any more without exposing the sensitive areas. ~.~ So, I kept the mod really simple.

I really like the two prongs of the original armor so I tried to keep them intact. How to make the armor sexier then? Well... By drilling holes in it, of course! XD

I had experimented and located 'strategic' points on the two prongs, where I can have holes, revealing a little more of the skin without compromising the sensitive points.
But if you guys look hard enough, you may still catch a glimpse of some pink dots underneath the prongs. Those are not what you think they are but are points that I had used to help me find the best positions for the holes. And then.... forgetting to remove them... >.<

Over the side, we can see the transparent layer which I had used to replace the metallic armor piece, in addition to the sexy side view from the original armor.

This week, we will start looking at the new Frigida armor set, which was recently introduced in AION 5.3 NA. This armor set drops off the reward chest from a new instance known as "Dredgion Defense", where the Balaur launches attacks on the capital city of the Elyos and Asmodians. This PvE instance is currently one of its kind, as it opens only once per week allowing up to 384 participants. Everyone needs to work together in order to achieve the desired points, which then determine the received rewards.
As the armor set is related to the Frigida legion which operates under the order of the Dragon Queen of Ice, Ereshkigal; it therefore, has an icy feel to it with a glowing/glittering white-blue tone. Another interesting thing is that I find this armor set to be the sexiest armor to date, with lots of 'unprotected' area around the body. XD
Specifically for the leather chest (a.k.a. Jerkin), the right side of the torso looks pretty empty, with only a vertical piece of armor narrowly covering the front portion. The leg portion of the armor is a shiny, tight-fitting long pants. The other eye-catching part of this armor set is the glowing white-blue accessories that are attached to the armor. These accessories contains draconic design essence, such as sharp claw-like and scale-like structure.

From the second image, we can see that the right side of the front is covered only by a vertical piece of armor, that runs from the right waist to the right breast.

Hmmm... how can I make this already sexy armor even sexier?
Well, first of all, I reduced the vertical armor piece on the right torso to just sufficiently cover the breast. Followed by partially modifying the left side of the 'heavy' metallic (I guess from the look) armor into a hard translucent plastic feel. Finally, I changed the long pants into panties-style.
So, what does the armor looks like after modification?

First, we can now see the skin of those leggy legs instead the pants. XD I have also modified the boots to match the legs.

Notice the reduced armor piece on the right torso? I have also added a transparent layer between the armor piece and the body... to make it not so 'naked'. XD Else it will look like simply pasting a stamp over the breast. ~.~
On the left side, we can see the hard plastic layer in place of the original metal armor. I have made the plastic layer looks like it is a translucent layer over the body. In fact, I have painted a darker dot onto that layer to give the feel that we are actually 'seeing' the left nipple under the thick translucent layer. Well... It isn't very obvious unless you guys look at it very closely. :p
The reason why I used a "hard plastic cover", instead of those transparent layer that I have always been using, is because the left side armor does not actually follow the body shape tightly. If I had force-used a transparent layer over that, it would become an irregular body shape. D:

Hmm... I am guessing some may find the transparent layer on the left torso a little pesky so I won't mind stripping off that layer if anyone wanted it removed. XD
