Blade & Soul - Deva Raiment (Jin Outfit) Mod

Finally, we get to the last Deva Raiment mod for the Jin race. Although the Jin version is the last to be shown in this blog, it is in fact one of my earliest mod on Blade & Soul outfits. But at that time, I was only familiar with removing stuffs from the outfit, so I only removed the cloths at the back and the bulky elbow guard on the left arm.

Eventually, I learned to recolor skin and did the mod for the Yun Deva Raiment, in which I also recolored the left arm to skin. This was followed by the Gon Deva Raiment mod, in which I repainted some parts of the right torso to skin but not to perfection. I guess I forgot about the Jin version or maybe I am just lazy to go back to look into an old mod. 😆

Anyway, about a month ago, a viewer brought up the Jin Deva Raiment mod request, to make it look like the Yun mod (probably don't like the Gon mod 😢 ). So, I got off my lazy bum to dig out the old mod and repainted the arm to skin, on top of the removed items.

Well, let's look at the original and modified outfit in the images below. The left side of the images shows the original outfit while the right side shows the modified one.

Front View

Even the character noticed something different about the left arm and checking it out. 😲

Actually, it is just one of the Jin's idle animation. 😝

Rear View

In the two images above, we can clearly see that the cloth at the butt has been removed. 😍

Left Close-up View
Wow! That bulky elbow guard is so prominent that it shows up in all the front, rear and side views. Glad that it is out of the way now. 😆

The left arm is now skin instead of charcoal black. That black arm (less the elbow guard) reminds me of some anime characters who posses a demonic arm, such as Allen Walker from the D.Gray-man. Did the designer get the idea from there? 😄

Well, that wraps up this mod. Don't forget to check the video for a better view.

Blade & Soul - Deva Raiment (Gon Outfit) Mod

Hello to everyone and welcome to 2018! Hope you guys have a fulfilling 2017 and wish you all the best for 2018. For the first post of the new year, I would be showing the Deva Raiment for the Gon race.

All the details about the origin and how to obtain the outfit has already been described in my previous post for the Yun's Deva Raiment, so let's get straight to the Gon outfit. The Deva Raiment looks very similar for all the races for the torso portion and the main difference is in the leg. Compare the outfit for Yun and Gon below.

Yun Deva Raiment                               Gon Deva Raiment
As seen in the image above, the torso of both outfits looks mainly like a bathing suit which extends to cover the whole left arm. Both contain golden emblem on the left half of the torso, a bulky arm guard on the left hand 😧  and a thick belt hanging at the waist.

The main difference, as mentioned earlier, is the leg portion of the outfits. For Yun's outfit, the leg guards look like a pair of long stockings while the Gon's version looks like something taken out of a cowboy's movie. 😆 The design of the shoes can also be seen to be slightly different.

Shall we take a closer look at the original Gon outfit below?

That bulky arm guard really needs to go...  😓

Rear View - Original Outfit
That piece of cloth at the butt area is the same as that in Yun's outfit... well, at least until the mod. 😝

See the muscle on her right arm?  😂

In the Yun mod, I had simply removed the bulky arm guard, the cloth at the back and recolor the left arm to skin layer. For the Gon mod, I did the same as above-mentioned and additionally recolor most of the black area on the torso to skin color. Take a look at the images below.

Front View - Modified Outfit
Ah! The bulky arm guard is no more.  😆

Front Close-up View - Modified Outfit
As seen above, most of the black area on the torso is now skin color. Of course, I also extended the gold emblem from the left side of the torso to the right, else the right breast would be put on display.  😰

The underneath of the bathing suit is retained and gold strings are added to turn it into a bikini bottom.  😅

Rear View - Modified Outfit
Combined with the front image, we can see that the one piece bathing suit is now separated into two pieces.

Now that you have seen both Yun and Gon outfit, which one do you prefer?  😆

Blade & Soul - Deva Raiment (Yun) Outfit Mod

In this week's post, let us look at another Yun outfit, the Deva Raiment. This outfit comes with an adornment and a hat, which are rewards for spinning a Wheel of Fate at the Crescent Spring in the Cinderlands. The token (a.k.a. essence) needed to spin such a wheel is normally gathered by defeating a particular monster; in this case, the Golden Deva. The Golden Deva is a mighty mechanical statue built by the Naryu to protect the Forgotten Tomb and stands in front of the tomb's entrance with two accompanying Iron Fangs which look like mechanical lion. The Golden Deva is only brought to life by using the two energy cores dropped by the two Iron Fangs, after defeating them. When the two cores are placed in the two lanterns at the sides, the mighty statue will come to life and attack anyone foolish enough to wander near the tomb.

The reward from the Wheel of Fate is random among a variety of items such as Deva Soul Shield (3 different sets), Deva accessories (i.e. ring, earring), Deva weapon box, Deva outfits and a quest item. With outfits being the rarest of all, it can take varying amount of time to actually get the outfit piece that you desire. For me, it took a few days of farming to finally get the full set.   😣

Take a look at the Golden Deva and the full outfit set below.

The Golden Deva and Iron Fangs

Full Golden Deva Set with Adornment and Helmet
The torso part of the Yun Deva Raiment outfit looks primarily like a black bathing suit with golden decorations, except that the entire left arm is also covered in black. The outfit also sports a pair of black leg guards, a bulky belt and a really bulky gold armband on the left hand.

Let's take a clearer look at the original outfit minus the adornment and helmet below.

Does the golden armband on the left arm looks really bulky?

Rear  View - Original Outfit

Why is there a piece of cloth covering the back anyway?  😞

Side Close-up View - Original Outfit
The outfit looks quite nice by itself but the bulky armband, black left arm and especially the cloth at back makes the outfit less appealing.

So for the mod, I mainly targeted the three areas by recoloring the left arm to skin color, and removing the armband and cloth.

Does the outfit looks more like a bathing suit now that the black arm and bulky armband is gone?  😊

Rear View - Modified Outfit

Wow! Such nice view with the cloth gone!  😍

So, that's all for this mod. Check the video for some gameplay and cinematics, with the mod outfit, in which a Hongmoon senior recalls his past.
