Blade & Soul - Dazzle (Gon Outfit) Mod

I remember it was November last year when I wrote a post about the Jin Dazzle outfit mod, but a viewer saw the video just a few weeks back and ask when will I make the Gon version. Coincidentally, the Dazzle outfit was put on daily sale in the Hongmoon store just last week. πŸ˜„  Anyway, since I can get my hand on the outfit and there is no other Gon mod request at the moment, I guess might as well get it done this week.

Although the Gon, Jin and Yun Dazzle outfit looks exactly the same, there are still differences in the mesh structure. For example, the Gon version does not keep the curvature of the cleavage like the Jin version. If you take a closer look at the outfit in game, you will notice that the cleavage region is almost a flat surface. This prevents the middle portion from being directly recolored to skin. I will discuss more of this below.

For now, let us check out the original outfit in the images below.

Front View - Original Outfit
As mentioned earlier, it looks exactly like the Jin version. The same thin chain layer over a tight fitting white body suit gives the outfit an overall glittering feel.

You can see that flat cleavage region in the image above.

Rear View - Original Outfit
The same shield blocks almost the entire butt area. πŸ˜₯

Side View - Original Outfit
The two same dragon face hangs on the outer thighs.

The shield and dragon faces are slightly shifted in comparison to the Jin version due to the differences in the default body shape.

Initially, I was intending to implement the same Jin mod for the Gon. But as explained above, the cleavage region cannot be simply repainted to skin color because that would make the area looks strange. Imagine if we are to repaint the area to skin, players will be expecting the see the curvature of the cleavage. But if all they see is a flat skin layer across the breasts, it would freak them out. 😨 So the Jin mod that covers only the top and middle portion of the breasts cannot be applied here.

As such, I have to cover the cleavage area under a layer of cloth to make sure it looks natural. I can probably leave the rest of the surrounding area as skin but I decided otherwise. Instead, I placed the remaining area under a dark translucent layer which is similar to the one used in the Yun Steel Heart mod.

For the rest of the body, I totally removed the thin chain layer and recolored the tight fitting layer beneath into skin color. Of course the shield that block my view has to be dealt with too. πŸ˜…

Front View - Modified Outfit
As seen in the image above, most of the torso and both arms are now skin layer.

We can also see the 'V' shaped cloth over the cleavage region.

Front Close-up View 3 - Modified Outfit
Over the top image, we can more clearly see the dark translucent layer covering the remaining area of the front torso.

Rear View - Modified Outfit
The rear view looks almost identical to the Jin mod.

Poor shield got cut out right in the middle because it has blocked my view. πŸ˜₯

Side View - Modified Outfit
The side view gives a hint of the difference in body shape where the Gon's butt cheek is more fleshy. πŸ˜†

Well, that is all for this mod. Do you prefer a bare skin layer over the dark translucent layer? Or should the white cloth be fully retained?
