Blade & Soul - Millennium (Yun Outfit) Mod

In this week's post, we will be looking at the Yun Millennium outfit, to make up for skipping a Yun mod last week. Millennium is a limited-time sale outfit and sometimes included in outfit event chests. As the name suggests, the outfit's design is out of the ancient martial arts world and maybe even beyond our real life time frame.

Although the cloud pattern does reminds me of the ancient world, the 'cup' and 'bubble' outline of the outfit just does not conform at all. Hmm... could the Millennium be representing the younger generation who wants to be seen as individual and not wanting to conform to the standard trend? πŸ˜…

Let's take a look at the Millennium outfit for the three races and see if you agree.

Gon                                   Jin                                    Yun
As seen above, the color theme of white-purple-black applies to all three races but the design is somewhat different. While the Jin Millennium is a full bodysuit, the Yun version reveals the right lower side of the torso. But as usual, Gon gets the hottest design throwing in the left leg and the right thigh as well. The Gon and Jin versions have the same baggy shoe design while the Yun has a pair of tight boots. But the most unique part of the outfit is probably the 'cup' on the top of the armguard and maybe that wrist portion that reminds me a little of the Mega Man's transformed arm. πŸ˜†

Now, let's take a closer look at the Yun Millennium below.

Front View - Original Outfit
It looks like a full body suit from the front view.

Front Close-up View - Original Outfit
We can see the 'cup' on the top part of the armguards and near the wrist, we have the Mega Man's arm. πŸ˜…

Rear View - Original Outfit
Several pieces of jades, pearls, knots and a ring are string together to form a dΓ©cor that runs down from the back.

Rear Close-up View - Original Outfit
From the rear images, we can more clearly see that the right lower portion of the torso is skin layer.

Side View - Original Outfit

Side Close-up View - Original Outfit
From the right side view above, we can see how the bodysuit is cut out to reveal the skin layer.

In the mod, the part that I wanted to remove most is probably the pair of armguards. Unfortunately, the arm structure does not exist below the armguards and removing them would inevitably be cutting off the entire arm. 😰  Take a look at the image below and you can understand what that means.

Missing Structure
As seen in the image above, the upper arm can be observed to be separated from the armguard after the top part of the 'cup' was removed. The separation is obvious even if I only slightly trim the 'cup' to reduce the bulkiness. Therefore, I have no choice but to retain the entire armguard. 😰

So what else can be mod? Well, we can follow the Gon version and mod all the white tight fitting areas to skin but I figured I want to try something else... Take a look at the mod version below and you will know.

Front View - Modified Outfit
From far, it looks like a replica of the Gon version...

But when you look closer, the skin layer on the torso is actually under a clear transparent layer.

Rear View - Modified Outfit
The transparent layer stretches to the right thigh.

I have also extended the purple cloud pattern near the crotch region to cover the butt and private area. πŸ˜‡

Right Side View - Modified Outfit

Left Side View - Modified Outfit
Though I did leave the left leg's skin layer as it is because it looks fine by its own.

It may not be obvious in the images but the transparent layer on the torso and right thigh actually reflects rainbow color when light shines on it (something that I learn from one of the summer swim wear πŸ˜† ). You can check the video below for a better look at this.

That is all for this mod. Enjoy the short video.
