AION - Rebel Cleric/Chanter/Aethertech Hauberk

Wow! Aion has come to its 5th installment with Aion 5.0 - Echoes of Eternity launching in North America on the 13 July. It will be busy months ahead for players of Aion, including this xFormer, as we race to achieve the highest level. And with new expansion, comes new beautiful armors, which means more sexy armor for me to mod. :p  Also, not forgetting the nice sceneries that will come with the new maps.

But for now, before we can settle down from the chaos caused by the sea of new things, I'll still be modifying some of the old armors because there are just so many of them. So let's get started here so I can get back to the game.   >.<

Today, I'll be working on a chain chest armor, namely the Rebel Chain Hauberk (I put chain because all 3 classes of Chanter, Cleric and Aethertech share the same skin). This particular piece of chest armor dropped off bosses in the older Rentus Base dungeon (level 57+) and from the treasure chest hidden beside the final boss' room of the newer Occupied Rentus Base instance (level 65+).

This set of armors is derived from the ancient Arabic style, similar to that of Ali Baba, and is one of the chain armor that I like a lot, except for a few items. Let's take a look at the original armor. The pants shown in the image is the matching part from the same armor set.

Original Armor
With the idea to remove the 2 items, I got to work and the result is kind of exaggerating because this bad xFormer has done it yet again,  ~.~  by removing more materials than originally intended. Look at this chest armor which has now been reduced to just a stripe of metal wrapping around her upper body.

By the way, the pants that you guys see in the below images is not a modified version of the original pants but another pants, that I have modified to match this new armor. More details for the pants will be given in later post.

I had intended to design the two ends of the metal stripe to be 2 snake heads but my laziness got the best of me and I left the ends with the shape of the snake heads but no eyes or hissing tongue. :(

Take a closer look and decide for yourself whether it would look better with the eyes and hissing tongue.

So, do you guys think the eyes and tongue should go in? :p

Finally, a video showing the armor in action.
